members, with a strong commitment to racial and environmental justice.
Through our ministries, we provide food relief to thousands in Allston-Brighton.
We seek a Food Pantry Assistant to:
Assist in the preparation and distribution of 100 meals and 100 emergency food bags on Wednesdays.
Help set up the pantry before distribution and clean up afterwards.
Support the management and coordination of volunteers during operational hours.
Assist with organizing and storing food donations received by the pantry.
Prepare emergency assistance made bags to meet specific community needs.
Participate in special food pantry events and activities Required
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to the mission of providing food security to the community.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with local, state, and federal food safety procedures Experience in volunteer coordination or event management.
Ability to speak a language other than English Position
