Vice President of Practice Management

Master's degree is preferred.

Steward Medical Group (SMG), Inc. is a multi-specialty medical group practice with over 4,300 employees which includes over 1,400 physicians and advanced practitioners. SMG operates approximately 450 practice locations throughout the United States, including, but not limited to, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida. The Eastern Division of SMG includes practices in both Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
Reporting to Steward Medical Group's (SMG) Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Practice Management will provide strategic oversight for all operational, financial, and administrative aspects of SMG's practices within an assigned geographic area. As a member of SMG's Senior Leadership Team, this position is responsible for the implementation and administration of SMG's mission, vision, and values. The VP of Practice Management will interact regularly with several different hospital leadership teams and will partner with them to identify financial and service line opportunities. The VP will also be responsible for allocating and assigning duties to directors, managers, and employees, to ensure that all practices are delivering high quality care and meeting their individual practice goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Participates in strategic business planning and development to increase SMG's market share in the communities we serve. Coordinates with hospital and system leadership to achieve current initiatives and strategic priorities.
Point person for physician and staff relations, includes resolving medical and/or administration problems.
Develops, implements, and monitors practice financials and budgets. Develops cost/benefit analyses of patient care services and equipment.
Meets regularly with physicians to review financial performance, compensation and key practice indicators.
Oversees practice acquisition and move activities.
Participates in physician recruiting, ensure appropriate physician on-boarding, credentialing, and off-boarding takes place.
Responsible for working with hospital marketing department to ensure that marketing initiatives are connected with SMG practices.
Participates in hospital and SMG budget meetings to ensure that hospital initiatives and SMG are in alignment.
Work in conjunction with Service Line Chiefs to ensure that all providers are in compliance with SMG's policies and procedures.
Evaluates organization structure of practices to ensure that physicians feel supported and that all levels of administrative and clinical staff are aware of organization goals and objectives;
Regularly communicate to all providers within assigned geographic region to ensure that there is alignment between SMG providers and senior leadership team.
Attend regional Steward Healthcare Network pod meetings on behalf of Steward Medical Group to represent SMG's interest.
Attends and participates in a number of committee meetings outside of SMG to ensure that SMG has representation and a voice regarding different projects and initiatives affecting the medical group. Participates in various senior leadership team initiatives in order to drive results throughout the organization.
Provide leadership and oversight to a team of Directors and Managers to ensure that practice performance is meeting or exceeding expectations.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives, including government regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to provide leadership and management of multiple sites.

Demonstrate skills in business analysis and/or financial management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work independently and autonomously.
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present information to small and, at times, large audiences.
Ability to function effectively within an ever-changing environment and to meet deadlines and reprioritize as necessary.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment and a multi-dimensional environment.
Creative, flexible, self-motivated, professional must possess sound judgment ability to plan and initiate new activities consistent with achieving service excellence.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
I. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of education and experience. Master's degree strongly preferred.
II. Experience: Five (5) to ten (10) years of operational experience within a physician practice setting with multiple locations. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience within a leadership role within a physician practice setting.
III. Licensure: Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) strongly preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
