Federal Grants Compliance Manager

Kforce has a client seeking a Federal Grants Compliance Manager in Brighton, MA.Essential Functions:
Partners with the Business Units
Develops relationships and partnerships with the business units impacted by compliance and is seen by the business units as a valued resource for compliance questions and concerns
Develops working knowledge of the business processes and IT applications that support those business processes
Partners with the Chief Compliance Officer to provide guidance to the business units with regard to compliance risks and what is required from a legal and regulatory perspective and the intent of compliance initiatives
Review expenses to ensure that they are allocated and documented appropriately, within terms of grants and contracts, and monitor for compliance
Coordinate with other departments as needed for resolution of errors or identification of charges
Help manage other resources in conducting audits of co-producers and sub-recipients for contractual and regulatory compliance
Organize grant files
Works with the Chief Compliance Officer to apprise principal investigators and other staff regarding changes in the application, submission, and funding guidelines and procedures of the institution and funding and reporting requirements of various granting agencies
Responds to audit questions and queries and maintains records for potential audits
Champions compliance by advocating the compliance perspective and promotes "compliance" as a factor in business decisions
Ensures compliance initiatives are communicated, coaches team members to fully explore compliance and business options and recommends solutions that best serve the long-term interest of the Foundation
Coordinates with business units to implement corrective action plans, as necessary
Keeps abreast of the changing regulatory landscape within the sector
A minimum of 5 years in legal or regulatory analysis or compliance experience, business operations, or project management
Strong financial and analytic skills and an accurate eye for detail balanced with the ability to see the big picture
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across multiple constituents
Experience working with executive management
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
Prioritizes and successfully manages multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be flexible about shifting priorities
Experience in a non-profit or other organization that receives federal grants a plus
Experience with WorkDay a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
