Harvard Business Publishing's Higher Education division serves students and educators by adding dynamic, real-life perspectives on management to undergraduate, masters and executive education programs. Through training seminars, course planning tools and direct delivery of digital materials, we offer educators resources to support participant-centered learning. The Higher Education continues to actively evolve its portfolio of learning materials, offering over 40,000 cases, articles, online courses and simulations developed at Harvard Business School and other world class institutions.  The Product Manager is a key member of a newly formed high-performing team accountable for a portfolio of educational products used globally by business students and educators. Reporting to the Product Management Director for Educational Products, the Product Manager is a strong individual contributor role that collaborates with colleagues across Higher Education and HBP to manage a suite of existing and new educational offerings including case studies, simulations, and foundational materials. In addition to collaborating with the Product Management Director on portfolio activities, the Product Manager will be responsible for defining and managing one or more product lines across the product life cycle, including ideation, development, launch, support, and maintenance. The Product Manager will be responsible for key activities such as identifying market needs for new products and revisions, participating in the customer feedback process, defining and championing business cases for new products, and analyzing ongoing product performance. He/she will provide input into go-to-market strategies, ongoing sales enablement, and tactical day-to-day product operations.  This role must work effectively across the organization to drive innovation and growth in the portfolio. We seek a candidate who is passionate about product innovation and wants to have significant impact on a diverse and growing portfolio.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  STRATEGY Partner with Product Management Director to develop and execute the overall strategy for our major product lines Work with Product Development to ensure the product strategy is informed by learning design and innovations in educational technology Partner with Product Marketing to track emerging trends and to articulate and refine messaging, differentiation, pricing, and competitive positioning  NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Partner extensively with Product Development, Marketing, and Technology to provide direction and prioritization throughout the development lifecycle Build mechanisms for gathering user feedback and ensure insights guide product decisions Inform the go-to-market strategy to ensure organizational readiness for sales and support of new products  PRODUCT OWNERSHIP Serve as a subject matter expert on one or more product lines from a functional, financial and strategic perspective Lead cross-functional business planning and stakeholder updates for one or more product lines in collaboration with Product Marketing and Finance & Strategy teams, identify, track, and communicate key performance metrics to guide strategic business decisions Regularly refresh and refine competitive product research, with a particular focus on emerging substitutes in a rapidly changing educational market  RESEARCH & EXPERIMENTATION Proactively keep abreast of market trends and innovations in business education Identify and collaborate on experiments to identify new solutions to customer problems Champion a "test and learn" mindset throughout the organization  KEY ATTRIBUTES A strategic mindset paired with strong execution skills, with demonstrated business acumen, relationship-orientation, and customer-focus Ability to work collaboratively and develop trusted relationships across product management, product development, marketing and engineering to produce results within desired timelines, scope, and budget Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, presentation and writing skills Passionate about constant improvement and designing high-quality user experiences Data and results orientation: uses facts and analytics to drive decisions in a highly matrixed environment Act with enthusiasm, resilience, and possess a "can do" attitude Advocate for raising the bar when it comes to product decisions and product implementations Think out-of-the-box to bypass technical limitations or complexity, or improve speed to market  EXPERIENCE 5 years of product management experience working on digital or educational products Strong grasp of product life cycle, from concept to design, development, deployment, optimization and maintenance Experience building business cases and managing product lines and budgets Strong proficiency using Excel to analyze and communicate product performance to stakeholders (samples may be requested) Experience in gathering and analyzing user feedback through a variety of research channels (interviews, surveys, observation, etc.) Experience and motivation to work in a high growth, high change environment Fundamental project management skills and competency MBA or familiarity with business education a plus International experience or foreign language fluency a plus BENEFITS & PERKS JO-1809-1285

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
